We spoke to Sarah Stock who suggested Billy Brakes, the e-Cargo bike name which got the most votes and won the £150 bike voucher. We asked Sarah what the story behind the name was and here’s what she had to say:
“I live in Old Harlow, and I came up with 4 names with my 7 year old daughter. We chose Billy Brakes, Sally Spokes, Gary Gears and Holly Handlebars. My daughters favourite was Billy Brakes. I see the competition and thought the idea of these bikes are a great idea and being a non-driver how useful they can be to carry things around in that you normally couldn’t on a bike. I’m hoping to get myself a new bike as I only have an old secondhand bike at the minute and don’t like riding it much so I’m hoping a new bike will encourage me to get out and ride more and to encourage my daughter to do the same. When I do cycle is mostly on the local cycle tracks.”
